So it seems the skirmishes and paralogues (some of them) are significantly more difficult than the main story - I spent hours banging my head against a wall trying to do Tiki’s on hard/classic and finally cleared it, then wondered why I couldn’t beat any of the skirmishes, was about to drop my difficulty down before deciding to just continue with the story chapters where I ended up just one-shotting everything at chapter 9-12 so I’m guessing I accidentally over-levelled a bit Seems silly to make the skirmishes scale so ridiculously high though - each unit I face is an advanced class several levels above me who immediately swarms my weakest units with no cover. I guess they really don’t want you to grind, which would be fine except I need money.
I spend so much time in the somniel to squeeze out every bit of support, training, and resource optimizing as possible because I refuse to let anyone in my party get exposed in battle
i'm so over-leveled for the main story because I like to grind the skirmishes and trainings, and then spend time in the Somniel between each battle
I’m on chapter 21. starting to hit 20 with advanced classes on some characters but looks like you’re able to unlock a further progression path by reverting to 1 in that class and keeping your stats using a second seal.
Mission 9 and 10 made me lose Alcryst and Louis but...Alcryst is still in the story and shows up in the Somneil? That's annoying
No idea but I’m at chapter 23 doing the Marth and Alear paralogues and I have damn near 40 hours into this thing
I'm around chapter 15 on hard/classic and have about 27 hours. Think I'll be at this for a while haha
38 hours played on chapter 24. Taking longer than three houses did but I’ve been taking my sweet time doing every single paralogue. no reason to do any skirmishes at this point tho I’m basically way leveled past where the story will end with almost everyone I use. Got a couple stragglers but I’ve got half my squad re-upped after advanced 20
I do every paralogue but yeah, I stopped doing skirmishes after like chapter 10 when I realized I was too strong for the main story haha
Also the story has been a lot better than it’s given credit for. with better dialogue it would be really really good.
thank god I’m playing casual because I finished the chapter 25 fight with literally 2 units alive, myself and zelkov
Hot tip for anyone trying to get A-level supports: I believe the flea market sells items corresponding to all your B-level supports and then you have to buy those items and match them to the right people.
Beat the final chapter before work this morning. Pretty easy, IMO, but I’m sure I’ll feel differently about my next run on hard/classic.
Good to hear the last map is reasonable, because I just finished Chapter 17 on hard/classic and sheeeeesh, that was a rough one.
