Can’t wait to find out what my wife thinks of that song. She loves Russell Dickerson and barely knows who Finch is.
I don’t know how this shit works but I assume Finch get some sort of writing credit/royalties on that?
At least it’s get noted somewhere. I checked the credits on Spotify and it didn’t have the Finch guys on there.
Remember when Finch was touring and playing two new songs almost five months ago? I remember. No official release still. It's killing me.
So I just found out about their fan subreddit and someone went into former bassist Daniel’s dms with questions about his time in the band. He gives some insight into World Of Violence and the Phantasma sessions, answering many questions I had for a long time, which is cool. https://www.reddit.com/r/finchband/s/dFiIWJolvX Interesting that he says they never went as far as finding a producer for the former, as I remember their at the time final MySpace update before their 2010 breakup being about the album entering the mixing stages. Also had no idea he toured with Senses Fail afterwards. edit: Oh yeah he’s actually still playing for them https://www.instagram.com/danielwonacott?igsh=bnJhcno0dzlqZzB2
That "interview" is really cool, but man I was really hoping the thread bump was news, why did this band disappear again?
Yeah I wish there was something else to share. I’m hoping we’ll get some news about an album soon, as well as some kind of Say Hello To Sunshine celebration considering they were hinting at it right before COVID and it turns 20 this year.
yah i first noticed Daniel playing with SF in either 2022 or 2023 so it's been awhile, he sings a lot of harmonies too
It’s so maddening being a fan of this band. I get they all have families and other responsibilities, but playing two new (great) songs on a tour, sounding totally locked in, and talking about things ramping up only to seemingly disappear again is pure torture.
Cake released a new single and were apparently working on a new album like 5 years ago now. Lol. #4letterprocrastinators
