I'm alone in this Back To Oblivion > Say Hello To Sunshine I love both albums The Great Divide, Us vs. Them, and Tarot are the only "weak" tracks on Back To Oblivion, but they're not necessarily bad.
I'm not even sure what this would mean, tbh. And I'd much rather them have fun and get weird than try to chase nostalgia.
You say this but they've been chasing nostalgia with the frequent tours in support of WITTB for years. I was a fan of the Phantasma demos that they did but it isn't what a large portion of their fan base probably wants unfortunately. if they want to stay as an active band instead of breaking up every few years they need an album that resonates with their fans to keep the momentum going.
I don't think their instability has had anything to do with not resonating with their fans, but I'm prepared to be very wrong.
Not really, just my observation of the band for the last 20 years. Definitely not every occasion, but it seemed strange to me when they did the first successful anniversary tour for WILTB and they released BTO to which wasn’t as well received and they broke up not long after.
Finch Setlist at Roxian Theatre, McKees Rocks They played two brand new songs. I filmed the first one and will post it when I upload it.
They didn’t mention what kind of release these song were from. Maybe album? Maybe EP? Maybe a couple singles? We shall see.
