I am likely going to make my own vinyl copy of Phantasma through kunaki

Gotta find the best option for audio extracting to get it through Nate's YouTube at the highest quality

Phantasma is awesome and definitely much better than Back To Oblivion. Would love a completed studio version of it.

Just two that have come to light.

World of Violence is the scrapped album Finch was recording back in 2009 (after their first break up in 2006) but something happened during the recording process so what’s leaked online are very much the demos. They did release the studio versions of two of those songs (“Hail To The Fire” and “World of Violence”) on their Epilogue EP they released when they announced their second break up. It’s fire. This is also all up on YouTube and the Epilogue EP is on their Bandcamp I believe.

we've seen the shadow of the axe before Supporter

Still haven't heard an album that sounds quite like it. It's my favorite Finch release and I listen to it all the fucking time.

With regards to Back To Oblivion

Us Vs Them, Tarot, and The Great Divide are the only songs that are "mid". I think they are the three least streamed from the album if anyone can confirm that on the desktop version of Spotify.

I would have cut all three of the songs and included Black Roses (it's so freaking good) instead, making Back To Oblivion an incredibly cohesive 10 song album.

Then, I would have taken the 3 "mid" songs, along with Faster Now, and Keep The Kids Safe (great track, but already had enough slow songs on the album) and made an EP out of them to extend Finch's run during that Era.

    Captain Hindsight over and out!

These guys have so much unreleased material at this point that I’d be happy even getting album versions of decade+ songs in their vault over a whole new record (the writing seems to cause friction between the members anyway).

Which is partially why BTO was a bit disappointing.

Nate sounds great on Black Roses but the instrumental side of it is lacking for me.

I rarely return to Back to Oblivion but whenever I do it’s to play Picasso Trigger and Two Guns cause those songs are *chef’s kiss*

It seemed a bit disappointing back in the day, though I did get back to it along with this conversation like some weeks ago, and it's not a bad album by any means

Definitely not a bad record at all but a pretty underwhelming record IMO.

I personally think the dudes just needed more time touring together to really kickstart some creative ideas. The material on Phantasma shows just that.

I really need to get back to Phantasma as well, I think I only listened to it once somewhere, cause I hoped it would get finished one day

By the way, can't believe it was so hard to find any info on their (?) current European run, and only after I saw any info on that did I find out most of the dates are sold out - seems all weird, no info on their pages, seeing that postet above and the fact it's been posted to their socials makes me think if it's the same Finch at all hahh, need to do some research

I remember when it was reported they were going to be at Rock am Ring and Rock im Park, and then it ended up being some German rapper with the stage name Finch.
