Let's do song and burn the site to the ground. I also suggested we take the top 128 or 64 of the Chorus voted list and do a tourney with them. I will not be organizing it though

Song is an insane idea, but fun because it's much easier to listen to a song you've never heard than a full album.

i don't really want to commit to another two years of year-by-year threads, or at least not organizing them lol. if we just want to go with the top 128 or whatever of the top songs thread, i can sort matchups for that.

 

Yeah, I'd say just take the list that we already have. I think my brain might break in half trying to pick a top three from every year.

 

How about one thread where everyone posts like a top 3 for every year, in one post?

eh, looking back, i don't think that'll really work either. there weren't as many participants as i remembered. the list we'd be going off of isn't the best lol. maybe we do it decade by decade, so it won't take as long. maybe we start with the 60s, get the top 10 songs from there and do the same through the 10s. that'll net us 60 songs. and then we make a thread for the 20s and take the top 4, since we're working from a smaller pool.

That sounds good to me. Also great that the 90s list can just be all songs on Illmatic this way.
