Final Four (Dramas): The Sopranos vs. Mad Men

One changed television, and one of its children created another great show. Which will win and face the comedies?

 

Despite an awful movie and another cheesy commercial last night, The Sopranos is the gold standard. If you are making a serialized drama, you have to look at the show and ask yourself if you are building on it in some meaningful way.

 

As much as I like Mad Men this isn’t close. Sopranos ran through better competition to get here.

 

This isnt fair. But when it comes down to the final 4, all should be good.... Not entirely right in this case for all 4 (IIRC), but this shouldnt end like this for Mad Men.

Sopranos to most was just <that> good.

This is my #1 and #2 all time favorites, Sopranos being the #1. Nothing will ever top Sopranos for me. For the rest of my life I can watch the series that is like a little time capsule of where I grew up. The nostalgia only gets stronger the further away I get from the show premiering. I've rewatched it at least a dozen times already. Never gets old, not one bit.

This was always destined to be Sopranos v Simpsons and itll still be Sopranos. I am good with it.
