Matt is just consistently the most entertaining performer I've seen. The balance of quality performances, with funny and loose crowd banter, with the ability to pull out a ton of covers or just about any song in his catalog on a whim, puts him in a pretty exclusive tier for me. There are definitely bands/artists that I "like" a little more who I've enjoyed way less live.

they have one of the most odd live shows i've ever seen. kids with Xs on their hands seemingly getting let out from high school singing fuck your acid trip lol. baffling.

I think Futures is an overall more dynamic record but Blue just has, pound for pound ,better songs.

 

Hurley better than Integrity Blues? Make Believe/Red better than Invented and Damage? Some hot takes right here.

 

If anything Hurley should be a few spots higher on that list
