only a hot take if you’re on that Jimmy Soros payroll

  2. Agree that Make Believe is better than Invented

What was the reception from Weezer fans when Rivers sang on Magic? That collab felt like it came out of left field to me

my take is it is not a release by the band Weezer so i pretend it does not exist

Weekly reminder that Make Believe rules.

  6. Make Believe has Perfect Situation which is one of their best songs but on the other hand it also has most of the rest of the album so

  7. It has "This is Such a Pity," one of their most underrated songs

Blue is a great album. Probably like my 50th favourite of all time. But in my view it's benefited from a soft run to this point. Think I've voted for it every time somehow.

So we've got 2 seminal 90s albums, a website fave, and a classic rock/americana album in the final 4.

I think Blue is the best Weezer record and one of the best 90s albums of all time.
From the four, that would probably be my choice to take the crown.

Things I really like on make believe:

Haunt You Every Day - great song
The “looooooove youu”s in my best friend, a meh but far too reviled song

    don’t hate bev hills tbh

Beverly Hills is one of the worst songs this band has ever written, and that's saying a lot from someone who has stanned Make Believe for the past 17 years.

My Best Friend may be worse too.

Every other song on the album slaps tho.

perfect situation might be their best song post-maladroit. it’s a perfect pop hook.
