only the one time and I got soooo lucky. I was fighting the boss and my entire team was dead except for Vivi. I had him using his double cast ability but he was one hit away from dying and I was out of revive items. I cast his last two spells thinking "if this doesn't kill him, I'm dead." And it did. Really need to play it again. FF6 is the best in the series, although 9 is my favorite, followed closely by 4.
I need to confess, I lied guys. I didn't only play through FF6 with one Moogle. I had another party member in the Moogle Suit armor so it looked like I had double Moogle in my party. The only way to play IMO.
I restarted X instead of picking up my save file from 5 years ago. I think this time I'll finally finish it
It's one of, if not, the best game I've ever played. The story, graphics and puzzles just kept me indulged for so fucking long!
The more I go back to X and think about X the more I genuinely love Tidus. I love that he's an annoying kid who's confused as hell about the other world he just entered because I feel like that's how people in his situation would genuinely be. Versus the "I'm too cool for this" archetype FF has had for so long haha.
Right, I always argue how great of a protagonist Tidus really is. He's confused, he's been transported to another world where literally the only thing he knows is the sport they play. He's obnoxious because he's so damn confused, and how happy go lucky he is about going on Yuna's pilgrimage sets up for him to be shattered when it's actually revealed what it entails. The foreshadowing up until that scene is some amazing storytelling. Tidus' character progression is truly amazing to watch unfold as he discovers more about the world he's in. I know everyone just simplifies him to "annoying guy with daddy issues" but man it goes so much deeper than that
His actual story is great, but yeah, his cadence and the voice acting just makes me cringe pretty much always.
Lightning is my favorite protagonist and I think she's the best balanced for the "perfect amount of cool" as Dan would say haha
The more I think about it also Noctis is just slightly cooler Tidus SE tried to advertise him as the new Cloud but he's much more Tidus-ish while acting like he's cooler/edgier/etc
I hope they did learn from the storytelling of FFXV, because while the overall story is a mess, the interactions between the 4 characters is fantastic and created a pretty incredible attachment to them for me
The story for Tidus is fine, I even did not mind the voice acting. Its one of the truest experiences I've had playing a video game. Even the "remaster" took it to a whole new level for me. I first started playing the game as a teen and then restarted again 2 years ago and it was still fresh and exciting.
