literally minutes ago i justified to myself why i shouldn't start playing FFXIV again and then i come in this thread and immediately start eyeing it again.
the thaumaturge combat is so fun rn. i had the moment where it clicked for me that varying which spells i use reduce the cost of others and that's a really cool dynamic that i enjoyed a lot more once i understood it.
Repost from Video Games for a more biased view and cause, y'know, it's FF: I think I'm going to play Final Fantasy XV again. I completed it when I had Day One edition but never touched it after and don't think I have it a fair shot. Haven't played the DLC and I might have been too negative before. Anyone got any opinions on this since its been out so long now?
I bought the season pass and played all the DLC. The "episodes" (Gladio, Prompto and Ignis) are kind of mediocre. Gladio's kind of sucks, Ignis' is pretty solid and Prompto is just okay. The multiplayer "Comrades" is fun, but kind of buggy. I played through it just listening to podcasts and got a little over 20 hours out of it (I don't know if load screens are counted in that, but I would say A LOT of that was loading screens) and they are still doing daily quests on that expansion. They also changed the base game. You can now control every character and they added to the story. I haven't replayed the base game since I beat it when it came out, but people seem happy with the additional stuff. If you can still buy the season pass, it's worth it. I probably wouldn't pay for the Gladio/Prompto DLC unless you're a completionist though
Seems disappointing that the DLC isn't up to standard. I played AC: Origins and there's a few neat nods to FFXV (Ultima blade and Chocobo were a good addition). Minus the obvious bugs, I really enjoyed my first play of the game and maybe didn't pay as much attention as I wanted to. If I were to get it again. Then I would definitely get the season pass.
I never really loved the gameplay of the other Dissidia games but I'm a sucker for its dumb, fanservice-y crossover bullshit.
I think I like it a lot as a whole, targeting feels VERY rough on it but other than that I like it a lot for what it is
Yeah, the targeting is giving me issues. I'm also just not understand how I win? Like, I just completed a battle, but it felt like only one enemy was downed. There is so much going on, I'm finding it difficult to make sense of it.
This makes so much sense now! Hahaha the day I got the beta I started out as Terra and started getting really good with her and then I played a couple days later and she was gone. I guess it's constantly rotating.
I tried out Terra, Kefka, and Tidus Terra was pretty good, Tidus was phenomenal (almost to a point of boredom), and Kefka was EXTREMELY hard to play with (that or I just suck)
i wanted to try out terra but didn't have the time lol i literally only just installed the beta so i'm lucky i got lightning in time, but i definitely want to play cloud and noctis so i'm looking forward to that. the camera controls are really restrictive for some reason but other than that it feels really fun to play, but still challenging. so yea. i wanna buy it.
