Episode Prompto is great btw. I'm an hour in and it's what I hoped for so far.

 

Keep forgetting to download Prompto but I only hear good things.

 

Episode Prompto is definitely way better than Gladio, but still kind of underwhelming. The most annoying part is how you do so little damage, so for some of the side quests with higher level enemies it's basically just "Stay alive for 15 minutes while Aranae does all the damage," which is super unsatisfying.

 

For the like 5 FFXIV players on this forum I have to say, Stormblood is tremendously better than Heavensward was so far. The new jobs are insanely fun and I'm actually paying attention to the story again. I just wish they didn't make SMN so boring to play.

 

Probably going to pick up a second PS4 soon so as to be able to play Monster Hunter with girlfriend. FFXIV is like one of the only reasons I'm okay with doing so, really wanna play.

Also, pulled Tidus in Brave Exvius, stoked

 

I bought the collection the other day, haven't had time to start but I'm hoping to begin the whole thing for real this time.

 

I definitely fell off the train during Heavensward. I loved A Realm Reborn and played HW for a while but it lost me bigtime. Stormblood is such a nice return to form.

 

What server are you on? When I start I'll just hop onto the one you're on so I'll know someone for when I get further in.

 

I'm on Cactuar which is very congested at the moment and may be hard to join but I'm not sure haha. But definitely give it a shot! I'm on a lot more than I was and since I'm leveling a new class instead of sticking with my old one I'll be able to run lots of stuff with you.

 

I just started playing FFX for the first time, I'm only a couple hours in but I HATE Tidus already. Does he get less annoying?

 

He is pretty much always annoying, but it is still one of the best Final Fantasy games.

 

Yeah, Tidus sucks but honestly still my favorite FF. All the other greatness of the game makes up for it.

I cannot wait for the 12 re master. I hope it ships in early for me since I pre-ordered it the day I heard about it. The fast forward mode alone may make it the best FF ever haha. I love the combat, but the grinding for the monster hunts and such can take FOREVER. Again another weak FF main character, but the supporting cast, world, music, combat, etc make up for it.

 

I honestly don't know if I can get past how annoying Titus is. Even just his voice drives me insane

 

Did you get to this part yet? Easily the most cringe worthy shit and sums up his awfulness in 9 seconds. No spoilers here, but the whole scene is....yeah. Bad.

 

Wakka is far more annoying than Tidus. Overall the story is really stupid, but if you can get past that it is still such a good game.

 

Tidus gets better in my opinion. A lot of great character development with him. He's thrown into a foreign land where he knows absolutely nothing about it.

 

For every cringey Tidus scene there is a bad ass Auron scene to make up for it.

@Joe4th I need to get back into FF XIV as well, i'm on the same server as @Fucking Dustin .

Also, I am SO EFFING PUMPED for this this XII remaster coming out tomorrow. The fast forward option makes it look so damn appealing.

 

I'm the worst, I still haven't touched XIV haha I've been going through all the Kingdom Hearts remasters. On BBS now, so I'm nearly through them.

FXII is going to be great, forgot I preordered it so I'll have it tomorrow

 

So ready for XII to come in.

 

Red Mage and Samurai are SO fun
