I've probably spent 20 or the 80 hours I have fishing. I really need to get moving with this damn game haha. The reward for the extra dungeons are the weapons correct?
Crestholm Channels took me much longer than I would have liked bc I'm an idiot and kept walking past the final panel
Some dates/details for future FFXV patches/content: February 21 PS4 Pro Full HD 60 fps support – Not always 60 frames per second, but a maximum 60 frames per second. Limited time quests – Quests that you can only take on for a limited time. This time it’s Hunts, but in the future there will be different quests such as fishing. Level cap raised to 120 – Your experience points won’t count towards past level 99 until after the update, meaning you can’t start stocking up experience points before the update. Photo capacity increased from 150 to 200. Use the music player while riding a Chocobo. March 28 Chapter 13 – Enhancements to the final stages of the game, including Chapter 13. You’ll also be able to play as Gladiolus for a short period. There's some smaller paid DLC coming out on Feb 21st, a couple fishing items and a weapon and the first of the big episodes (Gladio's episode) is out on March 28th. One of the features they're working on for a future update is the ability to drive the Regalia wherever you want instead of just roads. Final Fantasy XV PS4 Pro 60 fps update launches February 21, Chapter 13 update on March 28 - Gematsu
I did the same thing. The boss there was pretty easy. I just finished the Costlemark Tower dungeon last night. You have to make sure to hit the eastern block in the maze when you have the option. Finally moved on to Altissa. The plot of the game could have been so much better if it were simpler. Probably a byproduct of all the production problems...
That all sounds interesting. The Regalia one seems really pointless. How would that even work anyway? More fishing items!!!
I like to imagine it'll let the Regalia drive on dirt roads and paths? The execution seems difficult but if it works I'm happy.
I mean they are literally identical rip offs. I don't know how they didn't see that being a problem haha
Just caught a king catfish! Anyone know any good places where they caught a big fish and what lure they used?! I wanna get the dread grouper.
almost finished XV. I've liked the second half more than the first but it's still a pretty big letdown for me. I think I like it about as much as XIII. Planning on playing IX again after to see if I can finally finish it.
Seriously, fuck Crestholm Channels. I've done that dungeon so many times and I still constantly forget how to get to the boss area. I even pulled up a youtube guide to get there quickly, and the dude playing had to consistantly backtrack because he fucked up. Just started the Vault, super easy so far. Doubt it'll stay that way
So the final dungeon I have to do is the Costlemark vault, which I hear you can't use items in? Any tips from people who've done it?
https://m.reddit.com/r/FFXV/comments/5ht0fg/lure_and_rodreel_locations_the_contents_of_all/ The FFXV wiki is pretty helpful too. This list is pretty helpful. The biggest fish in the game is the giant catfish. I finally caught one last night. 192 lbs. it's at the islet Vesperpool location. The Saxham Reservoir has some awesome fish varieties too.
I just finished chapter 9, and I think it's a shame that LunaFreya was not utilized more. It just seems like a waste. There could have been an Aerith like opportunity if their relationship were better developed/displayed. I'm pretty confused on the story. Not really sure how it all fits together. Now I'm starting to see where all the complaints came from. Still love the game
I have spent a lot of time on the sidequests/minigames. I spent a fair amout of time playing Totomosto this past weekend in addition to time spent trying to complete the list of fish. But I plan on finishing the main story by this weekend.
