I just had a roughly 20 minute fight at a night with constant iron giants and other demons spawning, magitek troops and after it was all done I didn't get any experience/report card. I was even using EXP cast magic. I'm pretty bummed. The only reason I can think of is Aranea showed up towards the end and maybe her leaving glitched the EXP tally? But I wasted some precious magic and a lot of time for nothing. Shitty
What confuses me is: Chapter transitions tally exp, don't they? So how is it possible to complete the story at level 1?
I am a bit confused about that as well. I dunno if there is a way to decline level-up during camping/transitions or what. His HP in the videos is much higher than it should be.
Yeah that has to be fake. What the hell did he do for 58 hours? I think there is an item that makes you gain no experience but I'm not sure you can get it super early in the game?
@chcougar1's remark made me wonder so I did a search and apparently the "no experience" item is DLC so I guess you can get it instantly, and that's probably how it was done
That's so dumb. I never understood the point of doing stuff like that in games. I barely have the time or motivation to beat any game (like now with this!) the normal way.
Ah. I guess that makes sense then. How the heck would he be strong enough to beat the later bosses though? Must just be the weapons?
I wasn't completely blown away by the graphics like X and XIII did in their time! Congrats on the new tv tho.
Really? I thought that even on my old tv, but it looks even better on this. Thanks! Barely any pop up I love the graphics especially in Costlemark and stuff. At that scale. If you ran everywhere there wouldn't be any loading screens basically. Crazy
I'm just starting Chapter 6. I think that there is just so much to love about this game. I think that it does the most important thing extremely well and that's immerse you. I've read many of the complaints about the story and I do agree that so far it seems very lackluster, but I honestly am getting more enjoyment out of doing everything else. One thing I just noticed is how going through Prompto's pictures is like your own photo album from your game. A pretty cool idea. I'm almost afraid to finish the game for fear of there not being another JRPG like this to come along. Hopefully that won't be the case.
Im at the end of the game and should beat it tonight or tomorrow. Story has been some real stank, though. Weird considering how well literally everything else was executed. Gonna beat it and then finish all the key side stuff I haven't done/can't do yet.
The story isn't fleshed out enough early on. I'm still not really clear on the whole scheme of things. I think that the story is what suffered most in terms of all the production changes/delays etc.
Yeah I just don't understand how they failed at the story execution so badly. All other main FF games have generally excelled there.
