I'm about to take a trip with Ardyn, but I feel like if I do that, it'll be the end of chapter 3... and I don't trust him haha
I'm getting lost in side quests. Haha I promised myself I wouldn't let this happen! 23 hours in and I'm still on Chapter 3. Does anyone know if there is a way to get the angler set DLC still?
The sound mix in this is fucking abject. I just watched a scene with Ardyn where I missed a bunch of (I think) a fairly revealing (as revealing as this nonsensical game can get) speech cus his voice was so low and fucking Noct grunting in pain through the whole thing was so fucking loud.
Don't like playing with them cus even if I can hear fine I find myself focusing on them regardless and I'd rather focus on the visuals. I do think the mix in general is odd/not great but this instance was so ridiculous I had to vent. Just the decision to have the panting/grunting last the duration of the monologue and then to have it so loud was just so absurd. Anyway, Ch 14 is pretty damn cool so far This game feels like a lot of solid ideas but too many of them weren't really fleshed out enough. Idk I'm having a hard time nailing down the articulation of my feelings. I've played it for almost 55 hours and haven't regretted any of that (Ch 13 came close), but it just feels unfinished. Maybe the ending will be so good the rest won't matter much. I'll probably find out tonight or tomorrow
I will say the music is very low. Especially when you're driving. Buttt the music is magnificent. Especially the open world violin track.
I'm obsessed with fishing and it's going to bother me that I can't get that rod. Which version did that DLC come with? Anyone know?
Yeah. This game is all over the place. It seems to lose steam because it encourages you to do a bunch of side quests. It doesn't have that strong FF story feel but I've still played it for 35 hours and keep wanting to play more.
I only JUST realized the add-items-to-magic-to-make-more-badass thing like right at the end of the game oops Not that I've used magic very much. Seemed to help against the Behemoth King though (how hard was that supposed to be? Didn't have much trouble at all with it and wondering if that means I'll be fine for whatever the end brings)
Magic is so awesome man. I can one shot an entire group of magitek soldiers as soon as they land on the ground and end a big battle in seconds
That ending was befitting of a much better written/constructed game preceding it, but I'm certainly glad to have it. Lot to like in the game, and even some to love, despite its numerous flaws. Minor quibbles would be that I would have liked to see Iris again and also I would have liked to not have the very last scene with Noct and Luna, whether it was real or not. Think it would have been better to just end on the empty throne Also did they really never tell us where Gladio disappeared to for a bit in the middle of the game or did I seriously miss something? Ya I probably should have played with it more. Maybe I'll try with whatever I do postgame.
It hasn't been confirmed, but I've seen a few articles guess that the first of the additional DLC chapters (Operation Gladio) will fit into the story at the point where he disappeared.
The only Final Fantasy games I've ever played are FF13 and now XV, so I picked up the X/X-2 remaster and I'm really enjoying X so far, quite a bit more than I liked XV. It seemed really easy to start but I'm about 20 hours in and the boss fights are starting to become more complex and it's just a good time all round. Hope that 30 year Final Fantasy collection leak was true, would love the chance to play through all the older ones.
FFX? It's the only game I've ever 100%'d (on PS2 haha) and it's absolutely phenomenal. Some annoying characters at times but it's a wonderful game and I recommend it to anyone. FFXV? I'm holding out on any strong views and opinions until I'm finished haha.
I gotcha, yeah I'm about halfway through XV and enjoying it a lot, my in depth thoughts are still definitely up in the air though
Are there any secret areas you can only access end game / specifically with the flying Regalia? I've flown around a bit and only being able to land on roads kind of defeats the whole point
