The solo Rufus Shinra fight in the coloseum after fighting Rude and Elena has to be a joke right.. lmao

It's fine once you get the first phase down and the patterns, but once Darkstar comes in.. and immediately destroys you. Got it tho.

 

Ch. 13 is awesome so far. Loving the Temple of the Ancients.

 

It just dawned on me how much of a DUNE knockoff the SOLDIER eyes being green from mako exposure // as the fremen eyes being blue from spice exposure.

 

That's great news! Still hoping they're able to release a mobile port if it's not they can focus on that after Part 3 is out.

 

Glad they're focusing on the most important part of Final Fantasy: the minigames.

Idk how I've stayed unspoiled for a year, but holy moly the Cloud/Zack team up fight vs. Sephiroth at the end of the world.. FIRE

 

Okay.. this gauntlet of fights is kind of a bitch. Especially since I took everything off Aerith, thinking she was caput after "the scene" now I'm fighting Sephiroth with her completely materia less and just Cloud.. This is almost like the KH secret boss fight haha Literal boss fights for two hours straight. Wild.

 

Finished 16 last night. Pretty mixed on it overall. It has really high highs...some of those boss fights are epic, and some key story scenes really work...but as many others have stated, there's glaring issues with dull sidequests , dull towns (mostly, there are some stunning spots, mostly involving the crystals), some dud characters, and odd pacing. It's way too long. The combat being mindless square mashing looks insane but just isn't that fun to play for so long.

I vastly preferred 7 remake/rebirth.

Just gonna keep working backwards and do 15 next, after an Astro Bot palette cleanser.

 

I just started replaying FFX for the first time in 20+ years

Final Fantasy X is almost perfect. It's aged so well.

 

Looking forward to playing X at some point. I didn’t own a ps2 at the time but my buddy would bring his console over to my parent’s house and show me X, and I was like holy shit I need this haha

 

I should replay X, my best friend bought the PS4 remaster for me when it came out a couple years back.. Never actually finished that one, but know the story and all that jazz.

 

Beat.. finally. Now the platinum grind begins.

 

Turns out Astrobot can’t hold my attention for more than 10 minutes, so I already started 15. So different than 16. Much sillier, oddly not many cut scenes at the beginning to set things up, just throws you right into the open world. The car traveling system is interesting. I think I’ll enjoy this one.
