Question - how do I play the Yuffie DLC? I originally played FFVII Remake on PS4. I have preordered Rebirth which includes the DLC, but I am not sure how to access it. Do I have to reinstall Remake (my PS4 disc copy)? Is there a free upgrade to the PS5 version? It's so confusing lol

 

I do not miss the setting up of XI on the PS2 but I played the ever living fuck out of that game. I found a pretty small private server of XI that I played a bit of recently. It was honestly kinda eerie to see an MMO like that and there’s like 50 people on? Everything’s dead. Nobody questing. Super weird but I’d love a single player version. It’s one of the best games in the series.

 

12 worth playing? Only single player FF I’ve never played.

 

Yeah the setup (and the fact that it'd be an additional sub) is pretty much the only reason I've never tried it

 

12 is my favorite FF of all time. I think I’ve mentioned that before. Probably a hot take but I love that game.

I think I liked 12 so much because in a way it felt like an offline MMO. There’s quite a bit of similarities to XI. And then there’s the gambit system if automation is your thing.

Wait that’s a hot take? I always thought 12 was popular, but I definitely wouldn’t consider myself in touch with the FF fanbase to know better. I personally loved it

 

I think the Zodiac Job System version coming to the states made people enjoy it more. Mainly, I see people complaining about the characters, gambit system (which is weird to me, just don’t use it) and people comparing it to Bioware type combat.

 

The biggest complaint I always see is that Vaan is a bad main character

 

Yeah and he kinda is but I don't care THAT much that he is, I've played plenty of games with bad main characters

When I first played FF12 my biggest complaint was definitely the job system kinda locking you in and Zodiac Age completely fixed that

 

He was essentially a POV character. Seeing the main characters story through his POV. It was definitely a little weird especially once his story wrapped up.

I will say I might be in the minority that loved 15.

 

I liked 15 when I first played it but I hated revisiting it and don't think about it much now. It's among my least favorites but I think it did have good things going for it

 

You might have to reinstall and upgrade for free? To the Ps5 version. I think integrade was PS5 only.

 

I tried to go back to 15 and replay it to see the new updates and DLC but it felt like too much of a slog to jump back into.

 

My hot take is prob that I enjoyed playing X-2

Was the plot ass, yeah, but I loved the job system and encounters. That system getting a glow-up would turn out really good

 

X-2 ruled and is one of the best combat systems in the entire series

2 is my pick for worst but I also never played 1.0 (I started RIGHT at 2.0) and everything I've heard says it'd be 1.0

The fatigue system alone is mortifying, not to mention everything else about it

 

the look on my face getting home from Best Buy, installing it and then finding out about the fatigue system and your xp gained being cut in half after like an hour of playtime was truly awful lmao
