Man this looks incredible

 

I like it a lot! My main gripe is there is some section that slowed it down way too much and I’m not a fan of how much backtracking they made you do until I just got access to the Chocobo carts. But otherwise I really like the story.

 

Gonna wait until I finish Remake to watch the trailer. Hopefully I’ll be done by the weekend or early next week.

So for those who never played the original are you fairly unspoiled on what happens in the story? I know social media can be a fucker.

 

I read the Wikipedia plot summary of the original once after I played remake but retained very little of it

 

Nice. I really hope they retain a lot of the story beats from the original. It’s so many gamers favorite game for a reason.

It still blows my mind that the game I’ve loved since I was like 11 is getting a full on remake from top to bottom.

 

So the demo is not the beginning of the game so you can just continue from your save progress?

 

To my knowledge and what Maximillian said that this is the beginning of the game..

 

Why do you have to play Nibelheim before Junon for the demo?

 

It’s probably like the FF16 demo, where you had to complete the main demo to unlock the bonus demo mode.

 

Actually now that I thought about it they probably mean the Nibelheim flashback and not the part from the current timeline when you go there.

 

I can’t confirm since I haven’t personally played, but I believe the article I read earlier did say the opening chapter was the flashback. So you’re probably right
