tbh probably half of my total hours in FFX were blitzball. played a bit of FF6 last night for the first time in a while and I really want to finish it, but Overwatch and The Witcher have their teeth in me. it's silly how OP Edgar is.
I still cannot get the Sigils for Kimahri, Lulu, and Tidus after all these years. I stopped around the time of Penance. I was grinding for Luck and Fortune Spheres and it just stopped being fun.
Yeah that's literally how it is every time I play the game anymore. Next time I do a run through the game, I'm just doing it casually and not worrying about unlocking every damn thing. I love the game and gameplay, but holy shit does the grind fest at the end become tiresome. I just don't have the time or patience to do stuff like that anymore.
Yeah, that happens to me every time as well. Luckily this last time didn't take me too long to remember. Only things I always have to look up again are Sabin's abilities haha
I can't imagine torturing myself like that. Not only because it's obviously extremely difficult but unlocking things is so addicting.
I've been strongly considering picking up FFXIV. I haven't played an MMO in forever, and everything I see about it looks really good.
I like it a lot. The amount of endgame content is pretty ridiculous haha. It feels very natural even on PS4 (and especially on PC of course). I used to be extremely active and backed off for a while, but I've picked it up again and @DeviantRogue has a new character on my server as well. Any questions you have that could sway you in either direction feel free to ask!
I'm downloading the 14 day trial now to see how it is! I've never been very good at MMOs and have never had any others to play them with, so I'm hoping to change that.
I was thinking how fun and kinda silly IX was compared to the rest. And then I got to the underground factory in Dali.
Some minor FF6 spoilers: Just got to the floating continent for the first time, and literally every random encounter is a TPK. Wtf? How is it this much more difficult all of a sudden? And it's not like I can even leave and grind on easier enemies because I'm stuck on this continent. Do I just flee from every battle? It's absurd.
You can leave the Floating Continent and jump back onto the ship, but you do have to go a bit of the way.
That's exactly where I stopped my game. I want having that much trouble with random encounters though
I don't know if I'm only noticing this because I've been playing the older games back to back, but the ATB in IX compares to VII and VIII seems so slow
Yep, the slower battle speed is a pretty common complaint about IX. It always slightly bugged me about what is otherwise one of my favorites of the series, but I never found it to be a huge deal, just slightly annoying when I wanted to get things moving/was grinding stuff out.
Yeah I don't mind it that much but sometimes (especially when I'm back attacked) I feel like I have to wait forever to start attacking.
