Just finished this. what an incredible experience. Yoshida truly understands Final Fantasy. An incredible love letter to the series in every way. Absolutely loved it.
I’m about to start the final mission but might wait til later tonight to totally wrap it up and just knock out some odds and ends right now
Loving the sidequests, such a wide cast of loveable characters that aren’t even the main party, loving how Yoshi’s team doubled down on the pomp and circumstance of the prose from FFXIV, love the nuanced political and religious/metaphysical aspect of the narrative, truly a timeless tale. Finishing the last sidequests now too, instant GOAT for me already
fuck. can’t believe it’s over. that was truly a special video game. there’s not much else to say. there are some slight complaints I could point out but that overwhelming feeling I got as credits rolled, realizing I’ll never have an experience like the first play through of this game again. few games hit that for me and this absolutely is up there.
The true Titan fight was insane. I’m finishing up with the Mid quest for the ship. Hopefully going to be able to get close to the end game this weekend.
Can’t lie. This Quinten side quest got real fucking dark almost comically quick. I can’t help it, I laughed. The shots and framing of how he was giving his monologue
Just learning now that mastering abilities means you can assign them to other Eikons. Did I miss this get explained earlier in the game?
I found that out very late as well lol my final build I used geruda for the deadly embrace but had an ice and a lightning ability assigned to it for ultimate stagger
I didn't notice it said in the game but yeah it's the case, which explains the mix and match done when Suzuki previewed the hunt. I've utilized it some
Yeah I love this so much. It's so nice to unlock an expensive ability, discover I don't like it, and then redistribute the points
