I’m at the point now where I have to decide which 3 Eikons to use and I hate that I have to pick lol

 

Just finished the second mother crystal Jill is such a badass, god damn

 

Man we are truly feasting this year. What a game

 

The story is already hooking me more than any of the FF I’ve played previous

 

Yeah this is easily my favorite FF game based off of story alone. I could also see this ending up as my GOTY, which I didn’t expect. But I am obsessed with everything about this game

 

Glad to hear that about the story as some of the reviews out there were claiming the story was weak.

 

I’m about 3/4 of the way through the main quests? I think

And the story is definitely starting to fall off quite a bit for me. Was very sudden. Still not bad by any means tho

I love this so far.

Music is absolutely phenomenal.
Only complaint.. motion blur is brutal.

 

I’m hoping they bring that motion blur patch ASAP

 

Strong FFIX vibes. it’s almost like you’re playing a summon being summoned while fighting the eikon battles

 

They do such a good job having influences from all previous Final Fantasy games in this. So many moments feel like subtle callbacks

 

Finally got it’s hooks in me with that twist.. I should have seen it, but it caught me off guard, I even said, “oh snap” haha

 

Fucking god damn I got the gryphon from the hunt board for the blacksmith quest down to like a sliver of health and missed a dodge and died

 

Also people who say this combat system lacks depth are crazy I only have 3 Eikons unlocked and the synergizing combos you can pull off by chaining the right specials is wild I can’t wait to grab the titan build

 

I get so amped from these boss battles and mini boss battles, they are so god damn fucking fun.


Legitimately this is my favorite action RPG combat of all time. I have never had SO much fun and played such a rewarding combat system before.

 

It feels so damn good to be playing FF again. Roaming around the areas with the music will always get me.

 

Was doing the hunts and not paying attention

Had a couple back to back hunts at level 32 and then suddenly a level 50 that just pushed my shit in

 

Just got to the part where it’s revealed the hooded man is Joshua??, and the game seems to be opening up a little.

I’m really loving it so far, the soundtrack is GOATED, especially some of those cues in the boss fights. But yeah, it’s not taking away from my enjoyment, but the loot/crafting/equipment system is kinda underwhelming

this game is insane lmao

 

Like that was some straight up sonic adventure Chaos fight. Unreal. I love this game hahaha

 

Did all my unlocked hunts and am currently out in the desert in between crystal missions.

 

He’s obsessed with Torgal. Just watching him forever.
