I've been meaning to play the first one

 

I did a lot in Octopath Traveler but never finished it, but I think I'm just going to end up skipping to 2 soon.

 

Don’t bother 2 is better in every single way and not connected story wise

 

two huge square franchises still use essentially the same system

The one problem of this being a M-rated FF is that I can't play it around my kids until I've actually seen what makes it M-rated and know what they can and can't see, so it'll be from 9pm tomorrow night to who knows when for me

 

Do I need to have my demo data downloaded for it to transfer when I start up the full game?
I deleted it from my console to clear up space but the I still have the save in my cloud storage.

 

I think as long as the save data is still there, it should work without the actual demo
