Mine did that playing Warzone the other night and it scared me cause it wasn’t turning back on as quickly, or so it seemed. Really don’t wanna have to buy another PS5 so soon. At least they’re more abundant.

all-nighter for FFXVI!? Count me in.

 

The number of people I've seen say "I've never played a Final Fantasy before but tried the demo for XVI and immediately preordered" or something to that effect makes me so happy. I'm really glad people are enjoying 7 Remake and will enjoy 7 Rebirth as well, but this is what I've been looking forward to since I first played through Heavensward and Stormblood. I didn't understand people stanning video game producers/directors until Naoki Yoshida. He's flawed but so easy to root for, he puts so much care into what he does and loves games so much, he has accomplished what many people thought was impossible, and no one has deserved to take charge of the mainline Final Fantasy games more. I hope I get to play many more games including the work of him and Masayoshi Soken (who very likely composed that big 215 song soundtrack while battling cancer) in the future. But for now I'm going to play this game SO much and can't wait to rant about the things I love about it in here.

 

Same. I've been waiting on this for so long. This is what I wanted XV to be (as much as I enjoyed it). I cannot wait to discuss it with everyone!

 

i know im alone in this but i kinda wish they'd go back to the menu-based combat system, just drastically prefer that from VII-X compared to everything since but im unreal excited to play this one in probably five years

 

I have loved FF since 1998, it is my absolute favorite series. I was similar as @phaynes12 for a long time and bummed about the exclusion of turn-based combat but I am in a place now where I have played so many intense action rpgs that I openly welcome the change now, I think I kinda prefer it for FF.

Leave turn based to Dragon Quest and Octopath. I have never been so excited for a game, the last 4 main title FF’s I was either disappointed by the choice of mechanics or they just weren’t up to the FF standard (13,15).

Playing that demo already solidified i’m going to love this FF more than I have any other in decades.
