XV was during Chorus but yeah we try to forget that

 

I enjoyed FFXV but can agree that it was lackluster for what it set out to be. Seeing all the XVI stuff makes XV feel like a tech demo.

 

I enjoyed it the first time I played and then I tried to revisit it and it felt like such a slog, especially for something that took as long as it did to release. And then they put so much plot behind DLC that I just never did any of it

 

Oh wow I could have sworn it was released 2015. Prob cause its the 15th game oh well my point STANDS

 

I went with the Royal Edition and it had a lot of work done since then so maybe thats why ive enjoyed it more. But i can't argue for how empty it feels. My hopes for XVI is that theres not an emptiness.

I hope that, like previous FF games, amidst the battles and the fury we can take in the beautiful landscapes that FF creators always include. I’m a sucker for walking through a field with chilled music and just soaking it all up.

Listening to the Besaid theme from X whilst walking through Besaid Island and taking in the water. Seeing the Skycity of Bhujerba in XII for the first time or roaming the City of the Ancients.

I remember seeing Altissia from XV for the first time and wanting to explore every last inch.

Slowly walking through Eyrut Village listening to the music and surrounding yourself in the forest. Or strolling around Midgar in VIIR listening to Aeriths Theme. Somnus from XV is incredible.

There’s a lot of potential for this to be the most visually stunning game we’ve seen recently and the music will only amplify that. Final Fantasy is an adventure but it’s also a beautiful pairing of serenity and melancholy.

I hope we see this in XVI.

 

I mainly just remember cuz it came out while I was first dating Laura and we met through Chorus haha

 

15 wasn’t out when Chorus sprung to life? Damn.

 

XVI is going to be my first FF game. Played through the demo on Wednesday and I loved it. I just wish the game came out today instead of next week lol.

 

Why did I think this came out today…..

 

Full FF spoilers are confirmed to be out there. Haven’t looked so cannot confirm if legit (obviously, game isn’t out) but might want to be careful.

Preloads start tomorrow. game is Out Thursday/Wednesday depending on where you live when it hits midnight on the east coast not Friday.

Seen the most recent dev videos and one of them featured one of the more “open” areas on the map. Kinda gave the same vibe as the open area in FF13 which I really loved.

just a decently sized area with pretty dense monsters where you can do some side quests and complete some of the hunts.

So fucking excited for this game

I'm watching about details about the NG+ mode, they swap in harder/new enemies throughout the game instead of just playing the same exact game over again. May be the first time I actually play NG+ in a game.
