Just preordered the deluxe edition of 16. Soooo hyped.

 

Can I just say that I feel so fortunate to have lived in the timeline where I got to experience OG FF7 when it came out, get blown away like so many others. And now get to experience it again and be blown away again with the remakes. I love it here at the moment.

 

I hope Aeris lives. Otherwise what are we even doing?

4am Eastern for the demo. No idea how they worked out this time.

 

Ends up being 5pm Japan/9am UK, so maybe that's why?

 

Downloading the demo now while I work, can't wait till I can actually play. I do wish it came out yesterday instead but I get it, and I think if the demo release timing is the only thing I've felt wasn't executed to my liking we're in a pretty good place already haha

 

I have off today :) going to the gym then i’m gonna dive in

 

Trust the demo to come out at 9am when i start work and its the 1 day im in the office! Another few hours before I can play then i'm sure i'll be right back here with impressions.

 

Had no idea there was a demo so I guess I won't go into this completely blind

Finished the demo and I still don’t really know the story. I loved it! More in the morning….

 

Demo rules, even if it could not be more Final Fantasy x Game of Thrones.

I mean...

Not Quite Sean Bean gets Sean Bean'd
Weakling brother with magical powers
Brooding protagonist gets exiled to be part of a specific soldier group
But, gameplay is tight as hell, and the graphics are gorgeous.

I'm in Day One.

Yeah this is very fun. Haven't finished yet but I can see this getting really good with more powers/harder fights

 

It feels so perfectly structured like a Final Fantasy game and I loved 15 but no open world is sometimes a good thing lol

 

Did anyone play the challenge mode after completing the demo? I didn’t want to play it because it’s further into the game, but if there’s no story elements, I might cave because I need more of this game already.

 

Can’t wait to play this and Lies of P demo.

 

I heard it was made specifically for the game and had no story spoilers at all?

I’ve been impressed. I had it preordered anyway but good to get a taste of it. Definitely agree it’s like Got x FFXII.

Some of the dialogue was cringe. More
so with Benedicta and Hugo and sometimes the Eikon combat felt a bit too flashy and hard to use.

I did like the setting. The start felt massive and there was so much to look at but I do hope it’s areas we can visit and not just scenery. A few twists I never seen coming I feel we still don’t know the deal with Ifrit. Definitely a lot of stuff to take in story/lore wise. The Active Time Lore is a godsend.

it definitely feels more polished than the release of FFXV (which I enjoyed) with a tighter story. I think FFXVI knows what it wants to be and I’m excited to get immersed in another great FF.

I’ll try the challenge later today.

 

I’m really excited for this… but like I’m still playing tears of the kingdom amongst other things backlogged. Need more time for gaming
