Almost done beating Jedi Survivor, getting super deep into Tears of the Kingdom.. idk when I’ll have time for FF16, but I’m throughly excited for it. Loved 15 for what it was.

 

Gave the GameInformer article a read and damn, I'm so excited. They seem to be giving this a whole lot of attention and i'm glad it's not getting the XV with an anime and all that prologue stuff. CBUIII seems to be the best fit for the job here and whilst I haven't played XIV, it's evident that the majority agree that they have poured their heart and soul into this.

The article does delve a little into the story itself and we learn that Clive was supposed to be the Dominant but Joshua instead got this, making him feel sickly and using these powers only worsens it, hence Clive being his protector which might explain a few things. Their mother, the Duchess, hates Clive and the dynamic between mother and father and their view on Clive plays out well - seems more political and dark than previous FF titles. The story itself surrounds Rosario clashing with another nation of the aether in Valisthea - the Drakes Breath Mothercrystal. I can see the comparisons to GoT but cites a lot of inspirations - Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Ultraman, Neon Genesis Evangelion. BIG SPOILERS It does mention Clive's mission for revenge on Joshua being murdered by a mystery assailant where Clive is giving the mark of a Bearer on his face. Bearers are "something other than human to indicate they are enslaved"
Won't say anymore but it's a great insight to the story and much more than we've gotten previously (i think). The rest of the article covers the Fallen, the nations of Valisthea and even some Endgame content.

Every time I watch a trailer I say "they're saying too much" and I said that with Endwalker too and was so wrong so I'm VERY excited

 

I'm guessing demo will be in like 2 weeks if there still is one, 6.4 just dropped for FFXIV and the raid race starts next week and Yoshi-P DEFINITELY doesn't want to split his user base at an extremely popular time (especially with how quiet the game has been lately)

What is a good level to take on Kefka’s Tower in VI? Most of my party are at 40 and I’m trying to get most of them to get the agas, ultima, cura, arise, and dual cast for Terra.

 

i think you'll be okay at 40. i think i was 45 but it's been a while.

 

It’s been a while for me but 40 sounds low tbh

 

Everything I see just gets me more excited about XVI.

As thrilling as FFXVI is and as perfect as I feel it's gonna be, FFXIV is still SE's moneymaker right now

 

11th June is the FFXVI event so I’d imagine then!
