I remember seeing that as well, Yoshida or someone else basically said "it'd be weird to take a stop in the middle of saving a nation to do chocobo races so we haven't done much anything of that sort"
It’s gonna be great so your loss I guess Have only ever see you complain about this game that isn’t out
I'm not sure if that means mini-games such as the ones we would have in FF XV or just mini games as a whole. I'm hoping not because i think every single FF game has had a fishing so would be bad to just take it out now.
I think it means that there’ll be moments where you can’t just wander off to fish but there’ll be times when there’s side content like that
It's not open world like FFXV (I think?) so i'm taking that as you can't go and just find a spot to fish but there might be some moments that present themselves. I dunno, i like fishing.
Given how FFXIV is I can’t imagine he’s just like “nope no side content”, FFXIV is like a theme park with all its side content
Don’t get me wrong I’m excited but I’m cautiously optimistic. Most things that I like about the series are no longer present and its hard to accept. That being said I really do need to get over it because you’re right, it’s going to be great. Just because it’s not the Final Fantasy game I want it’s still Final Fantasy
I haven't played a FF game since X and I usually prefer turn based and I don't even have a console that can play this but it still looks fkin awesome
I figured as much. After spending 100+ hours on XB3 with no mini games I was hoping 16 would have fishing at least.
X is my favourite FF but turn based can be too slow for me sometimes. I do like the action RPG aspect of games. I think i just prefer my turn-based on the Switch.
I like turn based, I just feel like I have enough games that are turn based (including SE games) that I'm fine with FF not being turn based.
Feel like this conversation happens every month FF has always been about innovating, it’s been 22 years since the last strictly turn based FF. There’s a plethora of JRPGs out there that scratch my turn based itch. I like seeing them take risks and try new things; even if it doesn’t always work. FF16 is easily the most excited I’ve been about a Final Fantasy since X (besides XIV)
Happens every month and you always say it best, Joey. i agree with everything you said. i have not been this excited since FFX
I guess at this point I might as well go in super blind for FF16 since I don't think I've watched any trailers or anything else in like, a year.
I’m having issues beating the storm dragon in FFVI. Can I leave and come back to the dragons when I have better equipment? Or is it a story thing?
I watched FIghtingCowboy's impressions and Mr Happy's impressions + interview and all of those things have me so excited
