I’m on Dustin’s side, it’s not a hot take, Tidus is exactly who he should be. He’s thrown into an absolute disaster and knows nothing about the world of course he’s annoyed and bratty and confused
Only problem I have with Tidus is the voice acting, but voice acting in general makes me cringe, it's real hard to pull off good voice acting in a RPG for me. He's a great character.
Tidus' voice acting is bad, but voice acting was generally pretty bad around that time. It was a revelation at the time.
FFX has a strong cast in general. It's a big reason why it's a top five game in the franchise (#4 for me). It's also a big reason why people didn't get mad about how linear it is like they did with XIII.
I just wish all the rereleases of FFX had the option to play with Japanese voiceover, then I could probably get through it.
I definitely like 13 still, i'm prob about 65 percent done and plan on finishing. The only thing I don't like is that there seems to be an inability to grind so far or try to boost up your characters stats. Everything is pretty much pre-determined if that makes sense, but I also haven't needed to grind so it's not that bad. I believe i'm about to get to where the game opens up, I'm at Chapter 8.
Final Fantasy X is my favourite FF game and maybe of all time. I remember getting this for my 13th birthday, staying in my room and watching that cinematic constantly. I have never played a game I was so invested in completing and gaining the full story. Really cemented my love for RPGs and storytelling. I might actually play it on the Switch now.
Idk if I'm missing something I'm the Hope/Snow storyline. Why does Hope think Snow did that intentionally to his mother?
I think he thinks Snow was reckless and got her killed even though clearly his mom knew the risk she was taking and felt it was worth it His whole plot is so dumb. His motivation is just to tag along to eventually work up the courage to tell Snow he hates him? And yet he can't even be bothered to mention his mom or anything?
