i can no longer play ff8 without abusing junctioning. consequently, the 4 hours i spend at the beginning of the game stocking up on magic/cards/card ref stuff is also the reason why i really **want** to start a new game, but i just haven't.
Never played FF8. Out of the PS1 FF games, it appealed to me the least. FF9 and FF7 always peaked my interest more.
hated tetra master so much. i've been meaning to try out square's iphone triple triad game for a while now, never got to it. i also probably really suck now.
When I was very young I could not understand some of the rules, like Plus, but if you can keep track of numbers you can win pretty much any match with a bad deck.
If you put a card in the middle of two other cards, and one side shows a 7 for you and a 3 for them and the other side shows a 6 for them and a 4 for you, both add up to 10 and you get Plus. The computer will purposely control the corners of the board to set up plus; if you leave the middle open they can turn an 8-1 game in your favor to a 9-1 defeat.
This was a major problem for me for a long time when trying to get the rare cards from Edea and Cid. I could enter the battle with five great rare cards and lose in a rout. It is more important to see what the computer is trying to set up with the plus rule than to use it yourself. If the opponent has the last turn, you need to be vigilant.
I already put down Bravely Second. It's basically just a carbon copy of the first game so far. I'll eventually go back to it, but I was bored with it very quickly.
Ariticle that explains the characters of FFXV in a little more detail: http://www.gameinformer.com/b/featu...per-look-at-final-fantasy-xvs-characters.aspx Impressions of the game:
Have the Japanese voice any opinions on the lack of women in this game? It really breaks my heart. I can't think of a FF game where I've used the men at all.
I read something a while ago about how it's because the number of women who play in Japan outnumber the men, and it's supposed to be to appeal to their gaze or something? But I can't find where I read it now.
No no no. Here's the article on gamespot: Final Fantasy 15 Director Talks About The All-Male Party and Bringing Type-0 To the West - GameSpot
Also personally for me, I honestly don't mind it at all. If that's the story they want to tell that's fine. I actually am looking forward to it. FF as a series has focused on diverse characters and has had a lot of powerful and interesting female characters for a long time, something that many other franchises have failed to do. I think the FF XIII trilogy was really important, even if people didn't like the games. After all, my username....haha.
I found this article as well - Final Fantasy 15 has two types of Magic, Director on role of women in the game Anyway, I'mma go back to listening to the new GI podcast now. mk.
