I would have hoped they’ve been working on parts 2 and 3 (can’t see it going more) concurrently so perhaps every 2 years an update?
I haven't seen this anywhere, is that for real? I didn't know they were already in production on Part 2.
I genuinely can’t figure out the combat. It really feels like I’m just trading damage and hoping the enemy dies first
I remember reading that they said the next installments shouldn't take as long as this one because they figured out a format that works and they have the engine all tuned for it and stuff but I didn't know production had already started. That's definitely good news.
Also, like, what does this "full steam ahead on the FFVII Remake project" mentality mean for FFXVI? Because I still want that just as much as the rest of these games lol
I love this so much. I’m in chapter 3 and have been so emotional playing it haha also just now realizing Tifa’s voice actor is Justine from GLOW haha
And yeah, they said the engine/combat was the longest part of development so I don’t expect the rest to take as long
I love how seamless it is switching between characters in combat. I always have a problem with sticking with one character when given the option and I don't see that happening here, too much fun to switch. It's crazy to think we'll be playing this for like a decade but I'm all in.
the motorcycle boss fight in chapter 4 is so fucking dumb and goofy that I can't tell if I love it or hate it. I don't know, I don't think I'm loving it as much as the rest of you. It feels sloppy. There's weird lags in dialogue, most of the time the game looks gorgeous and then there suddenly PS1 textures. It just doesn't feel like a fully fleshed out final fantasy game. The original is one of my favorite games of all time so there's still a lot to love here, but it doesn't feel like it's a fully finished game to me.
