Been watching this at work because well, I can watch full documentaries at work. Really really interesting look at the OG FF XIV and how it came to be how it is now. Yoshi-P comes off like a total badass in this too. The original interface to this game was so fucking ugly my god.

Yeah it was Castrum hahah. That definitely makes sense, I guess in the light parties I’m just used to being more in control as a tank, so when everyone else was just go go go I felt kinda like I wasn’t doing what I’m used to doing. Not a big deal though, it was pretty easy in the end
Yeah there's a roulette for main scenario runs that gives a shit ton of exp/tomes so people run it and wanna rush through em as quickly as possible. Makes it kinda difficult for the people who are genuinely new to it to keep up but yeah they're easy
But to answer your question @ikanacanyon no it's not always like that! But you'll see it quite a bit in the ARR 8 man stuff (story trials, hard mode trials, even ex trials at this point)
Yeah I figured they were all vets with it so I didn’t really feel bad for being/maybe seeming so lost or slow haha. One part that’s kinda a bummer I guess is since I’m slower I can’t really practice OTing since I know that’s something that’s gonna become more prevalent at some point, and I feel like light parties prep more for MTing
Are you gonna be on this Friday? I'd be willing to help you practice on that, I can MT ARR stuff and get a synced party together for some MT/OT content
OT isn't hard either though in general, it's just mainly learning how/when to tank swap in those situations and to pick up adds/place em well and shit

Yeah basically you'll have cleared the MAIN quests of ARR like, main quests of patch 2.0 when ARR was released. Everything after is added on endgame stuff between 2.0 (ARR release) and 3.0 (Heavensward release)

Yeah honestly if you're interested in crafting/gathering jump on it and grind those out as you go That's what I'm doing right now, trying to get my crafters up to snuff
Yeah hahah whenever I don’t feel like committing to combat that’s what I’ve been doing and so far it’s been pretty rewarding. I’m finally at a point in armoring where I can sell things on the market board to make (I think) a pretty good profit so that’s exciting
Actually tonight I might just do some crafting so I can keep things on the market while I’m away. The grind never stops
