I'll give it a shot, I just wanna be able to play with everyone here when I get the chance to have a little more experience haha

 

If everyone can get on a different Aether server I will help cover transfer costs to get em over to Cactuar.

However all Aether servers are overloaded right now blah

 

Yeah I’ve been refreshing often on that site in hopes to just get on Aether but it’s a no go so far

I just wanna play haha I really had such awful timing

 

When you finally get on it will be sweeter than it originally would

 

I'm constantly checking the sites too.

 

Just changed to Viera race and she looks like such a badass dragoon

 

I always find myself being human in MMORPG's because I cannot take away from it, I desperately need to get out of that habit!

 

Since it's still not available I would advise signing up for a different server @Joe4th @GBlades . I'll send over crysta for a transfer once Cactuar is available and y'all can jump over. Let me know what world y'all go to and I'll make a character over there so we can still do stuff together when y'all play.

Most servers in Primal and Crystal data centers are available. I just don't want y'all to have to sit on your hands waiting haha. Just don't buy any property (housing or apts) while on whatever server you sign up for.

I'm certain Cactuar will clear up once the expansion patch is a BIT aged but given that it hasn't happened already I don't know how long it'll take.

 

Also I just got to level 80 WOO

Shadowbringers is easily the best MMO content I've played, so many great things about it. I even halfway paid attention to the story this time around and it was excellent. I have a few nitpicky things but overall it's a phenomenal release

 

Shadowbringers story has been absolutely amazing so far and I am SO excited to see where it goes. Stormblood might of been meh, but it really did a great job of setting up what Shadowbringers is delivering now.

 

It truly gets better and better as it goes on

 

I won't be playing as much until actual release (outside of mining/sidequesting here and there) so I haven't seen the roulette dungeons yet or extreme trials and won't until official release probably but everything else has been awesome

 

Also pretty sure either:
1. the NieR raid isn't going to be available until a future patch
or 2. the Nier raid won't be available until official release

 

Yeah, sure. I'm going to get some hours in elsewhere so that I'm not a complete FFXIV noob when I do end up coming over.

 

Might not be a bad idea to hop on a preferred server to get the bonuses then

 

I think if you're on a preferred server there's an increased delay on how long until you can transfer just a heads up

You can still do it I think it's just like a 60(?) day wait before you can

 

Ah dang I forgot about that aspect of it. It looks like it’s 90 days

 

Yeah so I mean that's still an option, it's just worth considering since that's like a good 3 month stretch

 

Also you might wanna be on a data center with more people since that'll help queues be faster and all that so standard's probably the way to go

 

Hes gonna tank so he wont have to suffer the DPS queues

 

While that's true he'll still deal with 24 man content queues that are massive as a tank and will have less party finder options if his data center is not very populated, party finder is extremely helpful for certain things

 

Although for leveling for a bit before transferring yeah @oldjersey is right and it probably wouldn't make too much of a difference

 

I meannnnn thats a solid trade off dude haha, theres like what one 24 man raid for every 15 dungeons!

Theres a handful of 24 mans i didnt do, they can get stressful and its the only time i see people being assholes when other parties wipe.

I really really really would like for them to allow the NPCs to do dungeons with you on ALL dungeons, past and present. I was just thinking last night, it would be fantastic practice for people who are stressed about healing and tanking their first times. If I had that to practice on it would be a game changer. I think it would make the community better as a whole.

 

I run 24 man stuff way more than I run dungeons which is why I brought it up haha especially since the content I'm looking forward to the most in this expansion is a 24 man dungeon

But yeah they should definitely do that

 

I’m really curious to see how I do as a tank. I’m so unfamiliar with it but wanted to do something different. If it’s a complete failure I guess DPS it is lol
