Resurrection is one that isn't getting talked about much that I really liked. Emily The Criminal is also good.

After Yang will be in theaters soon, that was absolutely incredible

Slamdance is going on right now too. Smaller films, but you can watch as much as you want from now until 2/6 for only $10.

Signed up for Slamdance to watch the Civil Dead which I absolutely loved. Anything else worth checking out?

    I have the same question.

Snow White Dies at the End seems interesting

I watched Killing The Eunuch Khan which is one of the most visually insane movies I’ve ever seen. It’s absolutely gorgeous and weird. But it’s super slow and kind of a slog

also the official synopsis is INSANELY misleading.

  7. Anything with “farting” in the summary is an automatic “must see” for me. Haha. I’ll definitely check that and Civil Dead out.

So, anyone doing Sundance, early tickets go on sale tomorrow. It looks like most of the online films you can watch throughout the whole week, 24-30th vs the single day windows from last year, I think?

I might do some single tickets if I can decide what I wanna watch, but a full pass is too rich for my blood.

Since I won’t be there in person I’ll be doing single tickets again

  16. My dog just had surgery so I will probably only be able to at home this year, which is a bummer. I was hoping to get premiere tickets to Infinity Pool.

Here's what I got so far for my pass; debating buying single screen tickets for The Eight Mountains and Joyland, but I figure those should be released fairly soon given they're Oscar nominees?

    online fest starts tomorrow

trying to decide if I really want to spend $20 a movie

Theater Camp, Fair Play, Cat Person, Run Rabbit Run and Magazine Dreams were what caught my end, but I think they've all been acquired so maybe I can just wait...

Some thoughts so far based on what I've watched:

Jamojaya: I haven't seen a Justin Chon movie but this was tonally wild and all over the place in a bad way, very cheesy music industry critique, but also really good performances and visuals. Rich Brian can act.

Fancy Dance: pretty solid, nearly every plot development is cliched, but definitely enjoyable.

The Persian Version: starts out a little rough but succeeds at everything it tries to do although it tries to do too much. Super super funny though, definitely a stereotypical quirky feel good indie in a good way.

Sometimes I Think About Dying: convinced this is an AI generated movie just for me

Magazine Dreams is an unreal performance from Johnathan Majors and so damn incredible for my Paul Schrader worshipping ass. No way this isn't my favorite movie of the festival
