I just tried watching On the Count of Three, but it says Sold Out, which is odd since it’s on demand... maybe there’s too many people watching it currently? I’ll have to go back to it later and see if it works.

On the Count of Three - Pretty good directoral debut from Jerrod Carmichael

 

Had to turn Rebel Hearts off after an hour or so. It’s a slogggg and was putting me and my wife to sleep. Great story, great music, but not high enough quality to keep our attention, I guess.

 

Just waiting til 8 for First Date and then Violation at 11

 

I’m doing the First Date premiere tonight too. Stoked for that one.

Yesterday I watched the Sesame Street doc, Prime Time, Cusp, and Superior. Enjoyed all of them, was well worth the day pass!

 

Violation was brutal. That one def deserved the age verification beforehand.

The Sparks Brothers doc was fantastic. Gonna have to dig into their 25 albums now.

 

Can't wait to get off work so I can watch Prisoners of the Ghostland.

 

Today I'll be checking out Prisoners of the Ghostland and First Date. Both sound right up my alley

 

First Date is very much a low budget, first feature. I hope for the best for the guys who made it as they seem to have a lot of ambition when it comes to just making fun stuff they like - but this really didn't work for me. Comedy didn't land as much as I wish it could, and some of the acting was a little amateurish.

 

Just finished Prisoners of the Ghostland! I kept waiting for it to go off the rails but it never really did. I think I was hoping for something like Mandy again, haha. I thought it was pretty great though!

 

Yeah it was good but not overly wild. Cage yelling about his testicles was great though.

 

Ah man. I wish Prisoners of the Ghostland went full Mandy. Kind of a letdown. I mean, I liked it, but I wanted to love it.
