    hey you lil piss baby

Need to see the new Sion Sono so badly. Hope a VPN can get around this one.

  2. There’s a bunch of em that sound great. Sounds like you can buy tickets to live premieres or you can buy 24 hour on-demand tickets 2 days after they premiere. Pretty cool. I might do a full day pass.

  3. Sundance tickets on sale today

Anyone else planning on watching anything? I'm thinking I might do a single day pass for whichever day has the most movies I'm interested in, and then doing a couple single movie tickets for ones that aren't on that day. Interested to see how this is all going to go over virtually.

I'm definitely gonna watch some stuff, but I need to study up on what's playing and start buying tickets before it's too late. I think I'm just gonna stick to single tickets because the day pass is as much as 5 single tickets anyway, and I doubt I'll be able to squeeze more than 5 movies into a single day anyway.

Any particular movies you have on your to-watch list?

I'm considering getting the Awards Winners Pass and just bang out whatever movies seem to be well liked

I read through the majority of the list and these ones caught my eye the most. But I'll probably end up only picking 5 or so to actually check out. I need to back through these ones and prioritize them so I can figure out if I need to buy single tickets or a day pass.

Yeah I did the math and realized watching 5 movies in one day with an awards screener pass will def not be happening for me - so I nabbed tickets to On the Count of Three, Prisoners of the Ghostland and The World To Come

Oh damn First Date sounds extremely my shit. May have to grab a ticket for that as well.

  12. I bought a full day pass for Jan 31 because that day has a bunch of "second screenings" for movies I'm interested in. It's a Sunday so I'm just going to make a whole fuckin day of it, haha. And then that evening, I'll watch the premiere of First Date. I also bought a second screening ticket for the Nic Cage movie, Prisoners of the Ghostland, cuz duh.

I should have prepared for this better. Missed out on the primetime screenings of Prisoners of the Ghostland, though I may try to do one of those 9am screenings since I am working from home.

Just got tickets for First Date and One For the Road for now.

Well that convinced me to buy another second screening ticket for First Date. I originally thought it would conflict with another screening I purchased

I think you can only use it once per account, but if you create another account (or haven't bought tickets yet), use promo code INPUBLICMSZX

  17. Nic Cage says this about his movie, Prisoners of the Ghostland:

“I’m thrilled about it! It’s unlike anything I’ve ever read before. It might be the wildest movie I’ve ever made, and that’s saying something. It’s out there. I wear a skintight black leather jumpsuit with grenades attached to different body parts, and if I don’t rescue the governor’s daughter from this state line where they’re all ghosts and bring her back they’re gonna blow me up. It’s just crazy. It’s way out there.”

    I cannot wait.

just went back, created a second account with another email, used the promo code and got tickets for Prisoners of the Ghostland, Violation, Censor and Pleasure.

  19. After doing some more deep sea research into some of these movies, I might buy tickets for a couple more premieres so I don't have to cram absolutely everything into the single day.

So, there's a 24-hour window to watch the second screening, how long is the window on the first screenings?

the premiere screenings are live. i think it's a 3 hour block per screening, which includes the movie and live Q&A with cast and crew. so if you just want on-demand options, then you wanna do second screenings only. if you want multiple premiere tickets, you'd want to make sure you don't get any that overlap.

at least that's my understanding of it all.

4 hours is cool. Just couldn't find it on the site anywhere. Wanted to be sure it wasn't only "live"

got a sunday pass for sundance

  25. I'm kinda stoked to be Sundancing virtually this year. I don't have to drive 30 minutes to Park City, park far away from the theaters/schools, wait in line out in the single digit freezing weather, etc. And typically a ticket for one movie is $25, so this year is a steal. I'm excited that I get to make a whole day of it and spending a fraction of what I normally would need to.

The main things I'm going to miss are the in person live Q&As with the cast and crew (won't be quite the same virtually, I don't think) and being able to spot random actors, actresses, and musicians walking up and down Main Street. Park City becomes mini Hollywood for a week, which is pretty fun. I was eating a bagel inside of Einsteins a couple years ago and accidentally made eye contact with Jack White through the window right as I took a huge ass bite...

It's especially awesome though that all of you non-Utahns get to participate this year! It's going to be fun to be able to talk about all the movies we see. Excited for everyones reviews and discussions.
