This is not the Fightstar we all know and love. They are frauds who couldn't come up with a more original name. I was very disappointed when I opened my Spotify and this was sitting in my release radar playlist.
Apologies in advance for the bump but fuck me I would kill for some new Fightstar. Surely 2025 is the year. it’s not :(
I reckon 2027. Busted seem to be writing new music and they have that insane arena tour this year with McFly. If they want to pencil in space to drop a new album after that then that probably takes out 2026. So I'm going 2027 or 2028.
Yeah I listened to the Sappenin podcast with Eddy, their touring drummer and ex-Lower Than Atlantis member, and it didn’t seem like Busted had any intentions of slowing down
prefer a live album of the wembley show from last year, myself. would be content with an ep of new music, or of new acoustic tracks.
I was listening to Behind the Devil’s Back last week actually. I never understood the band declaring it their best album but honestly, if you take “The Blackest of Birds” and the title track out and add another gem in that 3-4 spot, it would go close.
Haha, I’ve never been drawn to it like the other tracks on the record. I certainly don’t skip it when it comes on, but it doesn’t do a lot for me unfortunately.
"The Blackest of Birds" is fucking amazing but the title track is easily my least favourite song on any of their albums.
BtDB is probably my least favourite of theirs (Be Human Deluxe takes it above BtDB), but every song is a banger and I love it so much more now than I did at release.
BTDB and Be Human are about even for me and I go back and forth on which one I like more. I get something special from all four though. I hope we get at least a few more albums eventually.
I still feel BTDB was a huge disservice for the band. It barely got promoted and there were only a handful of shows. Charlie quite clearly was very much one foot out of the door for busted at this point. Still, there's some solid songs on there. I probably like Be Human more though.
I think BTDB definitely wasn’t promoted properly, but I still love that album. Incredibly underrated as far as I’m concerned.
I think BTDB was exactly what I wanted in 2008 but by 2015 I wanted the to explore more stuff similar to Mercury Summer and Tonight We Burn. I feel BTDB is missing some of the small post rock influences that I love in their music. Overdrive and Dive being my favourites from it.
Sorry if I've missed something here, but if this is a new project how has this band page got 30k followers already and 10k likes on a post?
I think they were on the Download lineup and posted some cryptic teases and a lot of people thought they had something to do with Sleep Token which got a lot of people interested.
