Those posters were put up in Camden, yeah? My guess is a reunion show at the Forum again, or a mini-tour starting there.
Thank goodness, would love new music. Charlie's new solo stuff was a little disappointing, and I was never the target audience for Busted.
From the article back in February, shows are definitely on the cards. I suspect a career spanning setlist to mark the 20 years.
Waaaaaay back in 2017 at Busted's (only?) U.S. show at the Troubadour in Hollywood, I did get to briefly shake Charlie's hand and ask if Fightstar was ever going to come stateside. He laughed and said, "We're working on it!" Hoping there's at least one or two U.S. dates in the cards for next year. I'd make the trip!
Although at this point I would appreciate anything, I hope they're not just playing Grand Unification in full (which is what popped into my head when I saw the teaser posters) because I DESPARATELY need to hear some Behind the Devil's Back songs at a live show - just imagine hearing Sink with the Snakes
Yeah I'm hoping we get a substantial reunion with a new album and a career spanning tour. It's been almost ten years, we need this.
As an Australian who has absolutely no hope whatsoever of them ever coming back here, a tour means nothing to me. I’d be pumped to watch live videos, but nope, I need this announcement to eventually lead to new music.
I haven’t seen them since the fucking Kerrang Tour 15 years ago. Madina Lake, Fightstar, Circa Surviva, and Coheed & Cambria. Great show but it wasn’t even a full Fightstar set.
I remember that tour haha. Madina Lake, what ever happened to them? I remember their debut getting a lot of airtime.
Their bassist got physically assaulted really badly and the album that came out afterwards was their last. They came back for an EP a couple years back and seem to be hinting at new activity though.
Ah man I really hope it's new music but the repeated use of the GU artwork makes me think just a tour is more likely. I don't think they could possibly top BTDB but I really hope they try.
It's very unlikely they have any new music to announce. I think it'll be a one-off show in London, with extra dates if it sells quickly enough. I'd be very surprised if there was any new music for a while.
I'd guess a tour but I'm still hoping they've either started working on new music or have plans to. I need it. Last time Charlie spoke about them getting back together he said it'd be great to get into the studio, do some songs and then get back on the road to celebrate 20 years. I'd hope they can stretch that to at least 10 for a full length though.
