Would be funny if Spain had a shit world cup now.

I mean, it wouldn't because I put a drunken bet on them to win a few weeks back but yeah.

 

Lopetegui is an... interesting choice. Has done fairly poorly at club level and hasn't don't anything for Spain.

Mad how a man goes from being on the very of managing Wolves to managing Spain and Real Madrid in the space of two years without doing much.

 

His price goes down on July 1st so stalling makes sense

Mine are
1) Nigeria home
2) Mexico away
3) Argentina home

 

Germany away, Japan away and Nigeria home.

 

Belgium away are my favorites

France away are good too

 

Atletico have an “agreement in principle” to sign Thomas Lemar from Monaco!!!

 

I usually love most of the kits but most of this year’s i find really ugly; what’s with all the bizarre speckling and lines and shapes? THis time I tend to prefer the more plain or traditional ones.

So podcasts for the tourney. What’s everyone gonna be listening to?

I’m gonna be listening to a couple local radio guys do their thing and then The Ringer FC for Donnie and Micah

 

I've seen a couple of articles about the kits. It feels like the big names (Puma being the worst offender) seem to have a template design and just change the colours. Most of the kits look very basic.

The Nigeria home and Germany away designs look great though. Both Argentina kits look like cheap training shirt versions of an Argentina shirt.

 

The Football Ramble is my go-to. They are doing one after every day where a match is played, and they mix interesting analysis with genuinely funny moments. Plus their predictions episodes at the end of tournaments are hilarious, and worth seeking out for previous tournaments.

Football Weekly is good too, it's more serious and in depth, but it's great for proper analysis.

 

Anyone heard anything about this?!

What a shambles! Apparently Ramos was arguing that he should remain but they've gone against him and many of the other players. Unbelievable to be honest.

What's more disruptive than your manager announcing three days before your first game that he is leaving at the end of the World Cup? Sacking said manager two days before your first game at the World Cup!

Ridiculous.

I honestly feel Real have fucked everything here. Why did they have to announce him before the World Cup? It seems like a really egotistical and shitty move.

That said, why didn't the Spanish FA swallow their pride and just deal with it for the tournament?
