Apparently 2026 will have 40 of 60 games in the US, with 10 each in Canada and Mexico, and no games outside of the US from the QF stage onwards.

Seems a bit unfair to Mexico really who are better than USA and it's a more popular sport there.

 

Won't there be 80 matches with the 48 team World Cup?

As opposed to 64 matches at this current World Cup.

If true, that is quite harsh and makes you wonder why they bid together.

Have Saudi Arabia ever won a World Cup match? I remember them losing 8-0 to Germany in 2002.

Edit: Turns out they beat Morocco and Belgium in 1994 (before losing to Sweden in the Round of 16).

 

I just find it funny that two nations that didn't qualify can host the games eight years later.

 

Yeah I would like a rule that you must have qualified sometime in the last three tournaments at least.

I think the timing on the Fox Sports app is off. The Argentina v Iceland game on Saturday has been scheduled for 10 am EST since April but the FS app is showing 7 am.

 

I think it's 9 AM EST
