Rose isn't very good. Belgium look well up for this and one good goal already. They're playing well.

Loftus Cheek looks good. Shame he's at Chelsea

    Woeful start. 3-4-3 >>>>>>> 3-5-2

Kane is going to be the most underwhelming golden boot winner ever.

They just said his last shot on target was the penalty against Colombia :embarrassed:

I have to say that for once Glen Hoddle's commentary has been really good.

6 goals. 6 shots on target. 5 against Tunisia and Panama. 3 penalties.

    Is that right?

I think so. The 3rd against Panama the only one that is classed as a "shot on target", despite RLC taking the shot and Kane getting in the way lmao. He has certainly left a lot to be desired in the knockout games that's for sure.

    Sterling hooked at half time.

I think Rashford would have been a better choice than Sterling in some matches. He's not as talented, but I think he could have stretched opposing defences more than Sterling has.

England had more shots on target in the first half than any of their 3 previous games. Yikes.

Better so far in the second half, Lingard a good choice to bring on. (Dier should have scored that just then though!)

Dier trying to be too cute. Should have just put the ball in the net.

Good stuff from him and Rashford in the buildup.

I want Kane to take a corner for nostalgia.

Give it to Phil Jones, he's a maestro.

Why is Kane never near the box when England attack?

What a counter attack that was from Belgium there - the one-touch stuff was top class.

Game over. England still falling foul to the better teams.

It's really really weird. Southgate seems to want one striker up top, one dropping deep and all tournament it's been Sterling up top and Kane dropping deep. Here, Rashford seems to be dropping deep and Kane isn't sticking up top.

Shame we couldn't get 3rd but we were the weakest team of the last 4 imo and certainly 2nd best today (fast counter attacks are my fav style of football tbh so it was fun to watch the game today despite the loss). But if you'd offered any Englan fan a 4th place finish before the tournament we'd have bitten your hand off!

4th is a good achievement. The game today showed that England need to be playing at a higher tempo, hopefully they keep building on this as there's a good foundation of a team there. A few tweaks and changes and it'll be coming home in 2 years time.

Ok, I am biased in this but I think Pickford has a good chance of becoming keeper of the tournament. It has to be him or Subasic.

This stat is insane. Especially if you take into account that England played Panama and Tunisia.

Marco Silva’s first game in charge of Everton was against a 5th tier Austrian side, final result 22-0.

Hon Everton. In other news, Hazard has been talking up a move but it's down to Chelsea.
