Haha! I honestly have no idea. We’ve started signing all these Portuguese youngsters and spending quite a bit of money... the hopeful side of me wonders if this could turn out in our favour like Wolves - I’d love a top 6 finish after years of barely just surviving. However, my first year with a season ticket was when David Platt was manager and he bought a couple of Italians who played two or three times and were a waste of time - I’m scarred by that memory and I fear these players may not be good enough to cope with the physicality of the Championship.

Signing Lewis Grabban who scored 20 goals across two different Championship clubs last season is a positive and hopefully exciting piece of business though.

Hopefully it will all work out. I’m not 100% convinced by Karanka as a manager but he will hopefully prove me wrong. A success would be ending the season with the same manager who started it - that’s how crazy it’s got at the City Ground in the last few years. Our owners just don’t have patience!

 

Lol, that's so strange - I thought the referee had to blow their whistle before kick-off could be taken, and that is usually when all players are back in position and ready for it? Probably one of those things i just assumed this whole time

 

Yeah it's shitty. It's up to the refs discretion, like quick free kicks I guess.

 

The ref has to blow the whistle. But he can do that at anytime if all players are in their own half.

 

I genuinely cannot believe it's taken until mid July for them to sack him. Something is very wrong there.
