If Alvarez starts from now on and Argentina go deep, he could be a sneaky shout for Golden Boot.

Licha throwing himself in front of that and saving a sure goal. Man would die for the cause, what a warrior.

You know, I might be going a tad overboard. But I think I’m in love with Licha.

You should not be almost twenty years into your professional career and still be pulling out performances like Messi did second half.

Same. In the space of like 4 months, he's become possibly my favourite player.

With the US out I officially have zero reservations about wanting this to be Messi’s year

I hate to say it, but...he's not wrong. First half was not good, except for the goal of course. Second half was way better. But overall Argentina are one of the worst sides still in the tournament.

Yeah i do agree on that. But I do think that they’ve improved every game, and when you have Messi, Alvarez, Di Maria, Mac Allister, etc, you always stand a chance if you can keep it tight.

I think Argentina vs Netherlands is a very close game, but Brazil will take apart the winner imo.

Soccer/football people, I know very little about the sport and who’s good/who’s bad so tell me… do Poland have a realistic shot of beating France today or nah? I’m half Polish, so it would be cool to see

They’ve so far been the weakest team of those left in, but anything can happen.

They look good so far. Very up for this.

Hopefully they lose, so they’ll probably win the whole thing easily

Lloris is very prone to those mistakes. If Poland keep pressing they’ll get more chances.

    Unbelievable stop from that defender.
