That’s why this game is pretty easy to stomach. We’re not supposed to be ready for this. But we’ve looked pretty good for long stretches; not great, but pretty good. Three defensive lapses were three goals, though. Can’t be happy with that.

 

An entire group stage + knockout stage game and Gregg got Reyna about a half hour of playing time. Wild stuff.

The Dutch having their two CB's from probably the top two Prem teams (sorry Arsenal fans) is a great start for a defensive backline. Ake played an absolute shit ton last season for Man City.

 

Reyna is a clear downgrade from Weah at the moment. But he’ll have time to develop and become a better option. Kinda with Gregg on choosing Weah more.

I hate not having a clear plan for what you want out of your forward. Every option Gregg brought is a different and there is no clear style that we ever play out of CF. I have zero idea of what Gregg even wants out of that position.
