There’s a good interview in The Guardian with Xhaka from 2017, where he talks about his dad being beaten and abused as a political prisoner for over three years because he demonstrated for independence for Albania & Kosovo. Some of the things he talks about, you can understand why Shaqiri and him hold a real grudge against Serbia.
