Perhaps @Garrett will know better than anyone else here, but I did wonder if they were similar players to Xavi & Iniesta in any way

Pedri is definitely Iniesta with better finishing mechanics. Gavi is… a beautiful pain in the ass.

Pedri is a class player but there’s a bit of Iniesta missing from him, not a big deal he’s still very very fucking young and will probably grow into that.

I’m fully aware that Pedri is probably the more talented player but I just fucking love how Gavi plays.

Cameroon leaving Onana out of the squad for disciplinary reasons is a bold move.

Mitro is looking lethal early on.

From everything I’ve read about Onana, that’s doesn’t surprise me.

Well that’ll teach me for assuming based on prior rep. Reading further into it seems Onana is in the right. My mistake.

I dunno, is Onana in the right? The coach has asked him to play a certain way to fit the team, and he's refused?

(Unless Fab is being contradicted by other sources, I haven't seen anything else)

Pretty terrible time to ask your goalie to play a different way is why I don’t blame Onana much. 1 game into the World Cup saying “ you need to change everything about your game”

I mean, it’s very harsh. He’s definitely your best keeper, but you want someone who plays differently, which is a difficult situation. But to totally exclude him is crazy imo. At least keep him in the squad. Perhaps he kicked off.

Why did that player join the celebrations and just repeatedly slap him hard on the head lol

You must have missed the whole United team abusing Garnacho every time he’s scored for United :crylaugh:

Woah blast from the past. Serbia’s keeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic was at United back in 2014. We had to release him after a year because he didn’t qualify for a work permit.

    Are the two M-S brothers?

  14. Nick

    @fangclubb Prestigious

Yep, they are. Both born in Spain actually. Their dad was a footballer.

I figured with the unique last name, but don’t think I ever knew the keeper existed until today.

Wonder if there is any other brothers there besides them and the Hazards?

I can’t remember the tournament but I remember Granit Xhaka played against his brother Taulant, who plays for Albania. Think it was perhaps the first occasion where that had happened.
