Commiserations to any Canadians. You played really well in parts and if you can keep developing players you’ll have a stronger team in four years time.

CAN black kits are nice. They didn't deserve to be knocked out this early IMO but CRO was in form today

Germany isn’t quite MUST WIN, but it’s effectively that to put their destiny in their hands.

This ref in Spain/Germany never met a late tackle from behind he couldnt ignore, apparently. But at least it’s consistent for both teams. Could see someone really getting hurt in this game, though, if it stays this chippy.

Commentator here just said “Spain have Nico Williams over here in Jordi Alba’s position”…

Dani Olmo is where attacks go to die. Makes the wrong decision every time.

Busquets got up incredibly quick once the ref told him he wasn’t getting a free kick O:-)

almost like he had points to protect despite getting blindsided by an nba style pick!

are picks illegal? He ran into a player who had established position, so I didn’t question it

Annoyingly, it’s quite likely that Spain and Germany will still be the teams who advance. But i’m hoping Japan can squeak through.
