Knockouts looking favorable right now for US. Bosnia next, and then most likely outcome is Egypt/South Korea in R16. If this holds, won’t hit a true powerhouse until the quarters with Spain/Portgual with second tier teams being Columbia/Croatia/Austria. Can’t look too far ahead, but couldn’t ask for a better set up.
Germany also looking good with Paraguay as their first round, but France in round 2 stinks. My vamos Nippon crew stuck with Brazil. England should also end up happy, likely not facing a top team until QFs in Brazil.
Ok I have to ask a dumb question Why do I see so many defenders grabbing players by the jersey? That's clearly a foul right? But I see it happen constantly and rarely see it called?
This Norweigan B team getting absolutely battered already, and Senegal a goal and a man up. Guess there’ll be no drama in these games.
It's a conscientious debate in the sport. A lot of fans have wanted it clamped down on for years but there's still plenty of it going on, especially at corners.
I also think referees want to allow a little bit of in duels to keep the game relatively physical at the moment, so you tend to just see the most egregious examples punished. But in theory they should all be called.
Man, France are scary. I really thought England had a good attack, but the more i watch the individuals on France, the more i see them as just in a league of their own. Shaky at the back, but is that really going to matter? The knockouts are going to have some stellar games.
The problem was no one actually wanted to buy those kits cause they made you look like a binbag filled with sick unless you also had the body of an elite athlete.
