The streets remember Miles Robinson pre-ACL tear. He may not be the same, but I’m glad he finally got his WC start.
Big lessons I’m noticing: Chris Richards is the most underrated CB in the Prem and Weston is the most underrated midfielder in Serie A. Jedi can’t go down, but Trusty won’t be a jumpscare if he has to start there in a nightmare scenario. But it does change how we play immensely. Dest has to drop back to defense if Freeman goes down, but Brenden is perfectly fine moving into that winger slot if that happens. Reyna and Berhalter continue to be the best subs depending on what we need. Balogun is clearly our best striker, but Pepi has had some moments that look so close to breaking through.
In all honesty, you could not have asked for a better game, no matter how it ends, for experience minutes for all of these guys. Sure, plenty of frustrating moments with the officiating, but this has been exactly what you’d want.
Me: I hate that they keep showing celebrities and it just showcases the wealth inequality in this country also me: JAMES CAMERON!!!
Never thought I’d see the day where the US could play 24 of 26 roster spots in the group stage. And the 25th (Roldan) probably would’ve played tonight if he wasn’t injured.
I’ve talked a lot of shit about Poch through the years, but his subs have been absolutely immaculate tonight to keep the big guns not on yellow in rhythm. Not to mention what he’s done this whole tournament.
Legit have no problem with that, haha. Concede on the last kick of the game with that many players getting minutes and Türkiye barely able to beat the “B” team? Doesn’t matter one bit.
Sure the game didn't matter. But still gotta do better Feel bad for the Turkey fans. I think their team definitely could've done some damage in the knockouts if they weren't allergic to the back of the net in their first two games
Source: watched the last 5 minutes of the game and am a Chelsea fan, these statements are not based in reality lol
he’s the only reason y’all made the champions league you went on to win so you should respect him a smidge more lmao but also he was a full light year ahead of Weah in what he offered when he came on tonight
Today’s Games, who the hell timed these? But, all six games have actual outcomes on the line so that’s cool: 3pm: Norway vs France & Senegal vs Iraq. What more needs to be said about this one? Win and you’re first, lose and you’re second. Draw and France is first. However, the second game is a giant hypothetical. Senegal would most likely be in with a win. Iraq, unless they score a lot, would most likely still be out with a win. A draw and they’re both gone. 8pm: Cape Verde vs Saudi Arabia & Uruguay-Spain Spain advances almost no matter the outcome win (1st), draw (1st), or small loss (2nd or 3rd). Uruguay and Cape Verde are definitely in with wins and probably in with draws. Saudi Arabia is also win and in, draw/loss and out. US fans should take note of this group as the winner of this group could be our potential Quarterfinal opponent. 11pm: Egypt vs Iran & New Zealand vs Belgium Egypt advances almost no matter the outcome win (1st), draw (1st or 2nd), or small loss (2nd or 3rd). Iran and Belgium need a win to clinch, and probably a draw sees them through as well. New Zealand is a win and in situation. US fans should take note of this group as the winner of this group could be our potential R16 opponent
Will be at BEL v NZD today just to whisper in KDB’s ear that he does have the ability to score goals.
