To me, it's harsh that if the ref decides a challenge is a yellow then the dive gets a yellow instead, but if the ref hadn't given a yellow the same dive wouldn't have gotten carded
This Argentina team misses a winger like Di Maria so badly. Wingbacks adding width isn’t quite the same.
Tuchel sucks. Just read the transcription. Dude, you just won’t a huge game against a really good team. Now is not the time to complain about your players quality after they just did 120 minutes in Miami summer heat and humidity.
Don't agree with this at all. England had the same tough conditions as Norway to play in and made their own lives so difficult. You can't be looking at that game and think the performance itself was something to try repeating when the remaining challenges are Argentina and then one of France or Spain. Also, he gave the players a lot of credit for their mentality to dig their way out of trouble, which I think is a big difference between Tuchel's England and what we saw with Southgate. That being said, Tuchel needs to look at his own decision making as well. Playing Rice from the off looks very questionable and once we started making subs, I don't think we really got our balance and shape back until ET.
Embolo was trying to manipulate the ref in effort to get the Argentina player a yellow card. The times where “it works” is bad for the sport and they’re trying to get rid of it. This is how you do it. This didn’t happen because of a ref mistake. It happened because Embolo purposefully manipulated the ref.
That explains him looking weird off it, but also makes you wonder why he started Declan Rice in bed for nearly three days before Norway match - Thomas Tuchel
I’ve been trying to get these 9 FIFA cups from McDonald’s. I got 6 of them with no duplicates but the last 5 I’ve gotten are dupes
Another day without a game but 2 absolutely (on paper) fire cracker games coming up. Waiting for 100% confirmation, but I may have a ticket to the England Argentina game through a work offer. Unreal.
I know it's the "Messi effect" - but England/Argentina resale are across the board $1k-$2k higher than Spain-France (which will be the better game most likely).
