Morocco has certainly not played their best but as expected, France just looks so dangerous and at ease in attack. If Spain gets through Belgium with another clean sheet what a game that would be - trying to see if France could break them down.
Morocco are also playing like underdogs who have had all the wind knocked out of their sails. No confidence, no urgency. Like they know it's over and just want to see the 15 minutes out. Gutless so far.
^ i dont want to know. And im also willingly going to choose not to care and still look forward to the game(s) left.
Guehi (hamstring strain) and Rice (sickness bug) potentially out of the Norway game. The vibes are crashing down lads
What are the rules, if any, for a team to disclose injuries? American sports are fairly strict on releasing accurate injury reports leading up to games. But I’ve seen English fans consistently get pissy when journalist report on injuries like the ones above. They claim it gives Norway an advantage because they know who’s fit or whatever. Are teams not required to release this info?
Made it to Atlanta for Argentina v Egypt to see the madness in person. Core memory established with friends I’ve known since kindergarten.
The stadium was just as great as it’s been described. My one gripe is they clearly play fake crowd noise inside the stadium. I noticed it at least twice and it left a bad taste in my mouth.
Interesting. I had way worse seats for the wc but have been for other games too and never noticed this. How did you catch it? I know for the NFL its illegal as teams have been fined before.
Funny enough, the NFL team from that stadium were the most recent team to be fined for it I’m pretty sure lol
The first instance was right after the first hydration break and just as players started making it back out to the pitch the noise level went from dull murmor of people talking to OH MY GOD THEY'RE BACK level 11 and no one in my section changed their visible behavior. The second instance was towards the end of regular time when, out of nowhere, the noise of the entire stadium whistling was ever present (for a blow the whistle please! type of movement) and absolutely no one that me and my friend could see anywhere was whistling. Also, in both cases, it physically felt like the sound was coming at us from a speaker system. Not like it was around us and being directed toward the pitch which would be the feeling if it were organic. It felt similar to the feeling of when you're at a concert and standing stage right or left in front of the sound system.
This game has been ok but I'm getting wound up by BBC commentator who keeps referring to Belgium as the 'white shirts'
