Script writers/FIFA would want a France v Argentina with France taking the W. That way the force Messi to play in another WC.

Very much "if it's not England, I want an underdog."

    Hakimi brings Morocco right down.

It won’t happen, but if England wins this thing by beating Argentina in the semis and France in the final, we may never care about anything else again.

I was trying to describe myself to someone

Just seen the disallowed goal from last night. That's some abysmal work by VAR. After the "foul", one of the Egyptian player runs at least 50% of the pitch, rides out 4 challenges before passing the ball to a player Argentina don't try to close down, before he then passes it to Salah (who has an entire US state to himself out there).

The only clear and obvious error was from the Argentine defending. Like, if you get a tackle which is an absolute butcher's job which is missed or if it's more marginal but it allows the attacking team to break into clear space, then I get pulling it back. But how do you justify that one at all?

  9. I don’t know. Both calls looked correct to me? Clear foul by the Egypt player that gave them possession which led to their goal. And then the play where Salah was dispossessed, looked clean?

I admit I didn’t see the entire game and I’m only seeing clips. Are these the two plays in question? Or is there more?

Expecting Bellingham and Rice to get a dubious yellow card so the miss the semi-final.

While not taking Norway lightly, I think they'll win, but the yellow card situation is rough. Kane / Bellingham / Rice / O Reily all on yellows and risk missing the semi.

    EDIT - wrong about Kane.

    roamer. wanderer. nomad. vagabond.

england is my last underdog left, as netherlands and japan were booted early.
won't be mad at norway tho.

I think they were either both goals or both not goals. The red had let so many similar fouls go through out he game so seems very harsh for var to call that one a foul but let all the others go

  14. I just don’t get this logic because they were completely different plays/actions.

The Egyptian player stepped on a guy’s foot from behind and was nowhere close to the ball.

The Argentinian player won the ball and broke up the play and then the two players’ feet collided. Then Salah embellished the contact trying to get a call + threw his leg up behind him trying to kick the player lol

Two different scenarios and the ref seemed to get it right imo

  16. I know I said I don’t like how Henry and Zlatan are constantly pricks toward him (even tho I agree with them lol)…but insisting he stays forever is so dumb when the audience clearly hates him haha

As much as we’d love that tag, as I think it suits us more than being favourites, I don’t think a team ranked #4 in the world who have been to back to back Euro finals can truly be counted as an underdog ha
